Started playing: Started on piano at 5, violin at 9, cello at 12. I still play piano but the only time I touch a violin is if I'm coaching a quartet or something.

Other activities: I was with Sebago/Long Lake Chamber Music Festival for 20 years, and was Director for 10 years. Something that's a real passion for me is playing solo works, and I've been going to Paris (France) and Normandy every year to perform recitals. I have a tour to Japan coming up as well.
Favorite music: Classical is my favorite, Bach and Beethoven. Also Brahms, Mendelssohn, Mahler, Debussy, I like listening to a lot of different composers. I listen to a lot of jazz too.

Hobbies: I'm a passionate hiker and mountain climber, I love sailing, housebuilding, gardening, landscape architecture. I've done a lot of design work, both for homes and landscapes.
Ensemble: I play in the JimChi Duo (piano/cello) and the Meliora String Quartet. If someone is looking for an ensemble for an event like a wedding, I am happy to help put something together.
Teacher: I teach in Rockland one day a week at Woodsound Studio, and privately from my home in South Paris. I also do some teaching in the Portland area. (207) 749-2855 for more information.
