Other activities: NIC OROVICH...AND FRIENDS features music for solo trombone written especially for Nic Orovich by his colleagues at UNH in a wide variety of settings - one for trombone, recorder and synthesizer, another a concerto for trombone and wind symphony, and a setting for trombone and piano to the narrated William Steig short story, "The Amazing Bone." The cd also features a baroque trio performed with PSO tubist Donald Rankin, and former PSO trombonist Don Davis. Nicholas Orovich holds the rank of Professor of Music at UNH and has been the principal trombonist with the PSO since 1979.
